Sibunetes

Light hoplites armed with javelins. Can hold the line if necessary, but lack armor.

The use skirmishing hoplite troops by Epirote commanders of the time is well documented and was a natural fit with the overall ethos of the Kingdom's military. Armed with a traditional hoplon, linen armor and a brace of javelins, the light hoplite was the perfect compromise between mobility and protection necessary to screen an advancing force, or provide much needed relief during pitched fighting.
