This man is wise beyond his years, which are already quite significant.

The nobles and warlords of the nomadic steppe peoples were simply the strongest, most tenacious, most dangerous men of their generations. Their authority came from personal bravery; if you wanted to lead, you had to be willing to risk your own life on the battlefield, not just those of your supporters. The outcome of a battle had as much to do with a commander's own combat skills as it did his ability to lead others; warfare and politics as one indivisible whole. In the dangerous world of the steppe nomads, those men who reached the top of the pile made sure they didn't just survive, but inspired loyalty by their noble example, not simply because they were there on the field when a battle occurred. Tribal elders were similarly respected; not everyone, by any means, got to be old, so to achieve it meant you knew a thing or two about survival.
